    Introducing my blog

    By girlsonly | Ambassadors | 0 comment | 19 May, 2016 | 2

I am Bongiwe Msomi, the Vice Captain for the National Netball Team (The Spar Proteas) and the Captain for the KZN Kingdom Stars.

I studied and acquired a National Diploma in Sport Management through the Durban University of Technology. To date, I am doing a Higher Diploma in Business Managent through INTEC College.

I recently started working as an Ambassador for the Girls Only Project NPC, a Project that deals with issues facing women and girls in sport, the empowerment of women in different areas of sport, and the emphasis on equality for all.

Through this blog I will be sharing my experiences, challenges and thoughts on being a female athlete. You will also be able to share in my journey as I work as a Girls Only Project ambassador to bring change to the girls and women of South Africa and Africa.

I also want to introduce to you one of my Provincial and National teammates, Phumza Maweni, another Girls Only Project ambassador. She will also be sharing some of her own thoughts and experiences on this blog.

Through our experiences as sport women, we are passionate about being part of the breakthrough for women and girls in sport in our country and the world at large, and we look forward to having all of you along for the journey.
